You can encourage the Uber and Lyft drivers to talk about what you offer while their passenger is in the back seat waiting to go to their destination. You can negotiate commissions or monthly fees to the Uber driver. That’s one unique way to attract new customers to your small business.

Number two, creating a Facebook group, a Facebook community. You can invite your friends, your colleagues and your family members to join your group and have a discussion about certain topics pertaining to your business, the products that you offer or services. For example, if you sell honey, you can have a topic about what you think about wildflower bee honey, manuka honey. Do you like spicy honey? Do you like honey that’s mild? Do you like salty honey or honey with truffles? Just different topics and discussions dealing with your particular product. This is free market research for your business. That’s another way to attract customers because you can also offer them some unique discounts if you know what they like and what they want. So start a Facebook group.

Number three, creating how-to videos and educational videos based on your industry. For example, if you are a plumber, you might want to create a video on how to put on a toilet bowl or how to fix a leak or how to put on a kitchen sink. Things like that will help the consumer know that you are an expert in your field. Of course, you want their business, but giving little hints of how to do certain things will ensure them that you know exactly what you are doing. Number four, interviewing customers and colleagues in your industry to show them you know exactly what you are talking about and also to educate your customer and your fan base of other things that pertain to your industry. It’s also great because you’re creating content for your Facebook pages, your YouTube pages, your Instagram pages and you can let other people know about what you offer and about your industry as a whole.
