I had an amazing time working through Shonda Rhimes’ MasterClass. She shares not only her journey and the knowledge she’s gained over the years, but also her deep understanding of both the creative process and the business side of the industry, something many writers overlook.

She breaks down Grey’s Anatomy in detail, explaining how she created the characters, built arcs, structured plots, shaped beats, and crafted the emotional engine of the show. She also spoke candidly about the lack of African American representation in Hollywood and why networking and maintaining relationships are essential.

This experience was incredibly inspiring, and I’m excited to continue my own journey as a writer and award‑winning producer.
